The 2023 CISO of the Year Competition

Chicago, IL – On Tuesday evening May 30th, the Chicago CISO of the Year Award Program kicked off activities with its first mixer of 2023. Now in its 11th year, this competition celebrates the top Chief Information Security Officers in the midwest. As stated on their website chicagocisooftheyear.com, “…this program seeks to recognize outstanding CISOs for the contributions they make to their organizations, the Information Security profession and the local community.”

According to Matt DeChant, a board member for the competition, "These are unprecedented times. Cyber attacks are more frequent, more sophisticated, and better funded than ever. Never has the CISO role been this important and the results more mission critical. It’s an absolute honor to recognize these leaders in cybersecurity and what they do to keep their organizations protected.”

 

The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony at the end of the year. Details are available on the website and nominations are strongly encouraged.
